Abstract

The aim of this project is to develop new high temperature (>1600°C) ceramic based thermal protection system for the next generation gas turbines. The increase of its surface temperature capability will improve the ecologic footprint of Alstom's turbine fleet, reducing NOx and CO2 emissions in the power generation sector. The high technological input required for such a product portfolio allows to strengthen Alstom's position in Switzerland, being in direct global competition
