Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
Preterm infants often have instable blood circulation and are always at risk of developing a shock, where the|oxygenation even of vital organs is compromised, with potentially very harmful to lethal effects. The aim of this|project is to build a novel, non-invasive instrument to detect an impending shock by measuring the|oxygenation of the gut/belly using near-infrared light. An instrument will be built specifically for this purpose.|By detecting early signs of shock, shock can be prevented and the outcome of preterm infants improved.
