Abstract (German)

Conventional heat and flame protective textiles offer a limited protection against high pressure burning fluids like Molotov cocktails as the fluid can penetrate the porous structure of the outer shell. The aim of this project is the development of an outer protective fabric with an optimized physical (pore density) and chemical (amphiphobic treatment) barrier to prevent liquid (oils and water-based fluids) penetration while maintaining wearing comfort.
