Die Schweiz hält im Geothermal Implementing Agreement (ein Technologie Kooperationsabkommen) der IEA den Vorsitz des Arbeitsprogramms "Direkte Nutzung der Geothermie" inne. Im Rahmen der Projektphase 2013-2016 werden die Strategie und die Ziele des Programms definiert und die Implementierung in Angriff genommen. Unter schweizerischer Leitung werden regelmässige Sitzungen und Workshops organisiert, um mit den 8 weiteren Partnerländern und Organisationen die direkte Nutzung der Geothermie zu fördern.

Short description (English)

Switzerland leads Annex VIII (direct use of geothermal energy) of the Geothermal Implementing Agreement, a technology cooperation agreement of the International Energy Agency, IEA. In the current phase 2013-2016, Switzerland will develop in cooperation with the other 8 partner countries and organisations a new strategy and new program goals of the annex along with an implementation plan.
