On the experimental side, the development of the alkali-silica reaction under different conditions of constraint is studied. On the modelling side, the project seeks to integrate information from the experiments into the existing framework at the microstructural level and then to upscale the mechanical behaviour to constitutive laws at the material level, which could be integrated into models at the structural level.
