Developing a Mechano-Sensing Cell-Based Assay for Determination of Metastatic Potential of Cancer Cells for Automatic High-Content Analysis
Abstract
(German)
This project will develop a commercial grade cell-contractility assay based on proprietary ultra-soft lithography technology. The goal is to develop complementary technologies yielding an ¿off-the-shelf¿ product for mechanical phenotyping of cancer cells. The project will focus on customizable cell-sensor interfaces (cell adhesion guiding sensor coatings) and on complementary analysis software for automatic high content data analysis. Both aspects will enable its use in basic research and industrial applications like high-throughput screening.
