The SUSMET project aims at the characterization and optimization of the Gavia SA precious metal recovery process. Computational modeling and experiments design will cooperate in gathering detailed atomistic and macro-molecular information about the interaction of the solvents with the metals and about the recovery process. This knowledge will improve the process optimizing yield and velocity, and increasing the competitivity of the Gavia SA low environmental impact process.
