Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
Modern fabrication technology offers high flexibility to realize arbitrary shaped optical structures for the use with compact laser sources. A strong need for such elements has been expressed by industry for high-growth end markets, such as smart phones, tablets and gaming. In the focus of the project is the wave optics simulation of micro-optical elements with dimensions of µm up to mm, a domain where existing programs often fail. Of particular interest is the pre-design phase, where the experience is missing and rigorous diffraction theory cannot be applied.
