Short description
(English)
Sustainable binders for mortars and concretes with high volume stability
Abstract
(German)
The aim of the project is to develop novel binders for the use in mortars or concretes. The new materials are based on a low-|CO2 alternative to Portland cement (binder generally used for mortar or concrete). A tile adhesive, a joint grout, a self-levelling|floor and a non-structural/repair concrete will be developed. Their main properties are high early strength, volume stability (low|expansion under water, low shrinkage in air) and high durability (mainly high resistance to frost, sulfate and acid attack).
