Development of novel hydrocolloid patches for use with the P.L.E.A.S.E.® fractional laser ablation system for the intraepidermal 'needle-less' delivery of biotechnology therapeutics
Abstract
(German)
Development of innovative hydrocolloid (HC) patches for use with the P.L.E.A.S.E.® fractional laser ablation system to enable ¿needle-less¿ delivery of biopharmaceuticals. HC patches will be evaluated for their ability to achieve therapeutic delivery in four target indications with significant unmet needs and market opportunities for new combination products. HC patches are used in wound healing (but not drug delivery) and, unlike conventional patches, are designed to be applied to broken skin ¿ resulting in better adhesion and less skin irritation.
