Die Flumroc produziert seit Jahren Steinwolle über einen Schmelzprozess. Die wichtigste Eigenschaft von Dämmstoffen ist der Wärmeleitwert Lambda. Mit der bestehenden Produktionstechnologie in der Steinwolleherstellung und den eingesetzten Rohstoffen sind mögliche Verbesserungen im Lambda limitiert. In diesem Projekt soll die Kombination Rohstoff und Produktions-/Schmelztechnologie so optimiert werden, dass der Lambdawert um über 10% verbessert und nachhaltige Gebäudekonzepte unterstützt wird.
