Novel PV module designs based on new encapsulants will lead to higher energy yields as well as to an increased durability without improving the module costs. Both higher energy yields and improved durability will lead to clearly lower kWh costs of at least 10%. The main target of this project is the development and the market launch of novel laminating lines optimized for the production of PV modules based on novel module designs using new encapsulants.
