NOS - REFORM : New Optical Smoke Detectors and an Optical Reference System for Measurements|of Fire-Related Aerosols
Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
Most optical smoke detectors operate according to the scattered light principle. By using multi-wavelength,|multi-angle and polarization dependent scattering of light on particles, fire- and non-fire aerosols can be|distinguished.|The goal of the project is to evaluate the optimal configuration for a new, false alarm resistant fire detector as|well as to build a prototype for a reference smoke density measurement equipment for testing and approval of|these new detectors according to international standards.
