Touch Image Reconstruction Using Finger Tomography
Abstract
(English)
The aim of this project is to develop a novel method applicable to optical sensors, allowing multi-touch detection on a mobile phone, tablet, and PC touchscreens. Touch image reconstruction using optical finger tomography is a promising method to detect the finger positions on a glass cover. This research will enable precise multi-touch even when a reduced set of optical beams is used. The approach can revolutionize the smartphone industry by reducing costs through a simplified assembly process and without sacrificing the quality of man-machine interaction.
