R and D project: Electromagnetic steering system for wireless control of medical instruments
Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
Electromagnetic manipulation is a promising technology for guiding wireless medical instruments within the human body and to enable new diagnostic and therapeutic methods. In an ongoing CTI Project a full-scale functional model to fit the human torso has been successfully designed and installed for the first time. We apply for a follow-up project to continue the development towards a prototype. The focus application is in catheter steering for the treatment of arrhythmias such as Atrial Fibrillation.
