The project aims to renew an existing survey on sites with unexploded mines and cluster bombs. This study will provide the information needed for the Kosovo Mine Action Center (KMAC), the government, the donors and the clearance Operators to prioritize and conduct future clearance. Within this project HALO Trust will demine and clear cluster munition on three sites in Kosovo.

The projed aims to minimize the human, economic and social short- and long term effects of mines and Cluster munition after the war in Kosovo.

Outeomes:
The resurvey will form the basis for inclusive demining and cluster munition Clearing activities.
• The results from the resurvey will prevent accidents by defining areas with mines and cluster munition and thus reduce resulting potential for conflict.
• The removal of cluster munition gives safe access to the people of Jasic and Junik for foraging, woodcutting and grazing and takes away a significant threat from one of the principal routes into Koshare
• The inhabitants in the mine field area in Koshare will be able to safely forage for fungl and berries, to cut wood and to graze their animais and will also be free from fear that their children will wander into the minefield.

Outputs:
• The demining in Koshare will be concluded.
• The clearing of cluster munition in Jasic and Grebnik will be concluded.
• The HALO survey on 172 sites will be reviewed.
