New flexible facing with untensioned anchors for steep slopes
Abstract
(Deutsch)
Flexible facings are an efficient method for the stabilization of steep slopes. The aim is the development of a new flexible facing system with a high-tensile mesh by means of a large-scale setup, whereby the influence of properties of the facing and the free selectable distance between the anchors are developed. The innovation results in a use of less anchors and one high-tensile mesh only. Material and installation costs result in a more cost-effective product, faster to install and with a reduced carbon footprint. An intense international interest and the possibility to establish a new international market are expected.
