Self-limiting heating cables for domestic applications.

Abstract (English)

The aim of the project is the development of a self-limiting heating cable that resists application temperatures of around 100°C. This will open a new market segment and will also improve the quality of existing products. The collaboration with EPFL and IWK will lead to in depth understanding of the relation between raw materials characteristics, process parameters and the functioning of the self-limiting heating cables. Knowledge transfer to the company will take place after each milestone of the project so that the company can implement progressively the improvements.
