Abstract (Englisch)	Allergic diseases have reached a pandemic dimension and allergen-specific immunotherapy (SIT) is the only available curative therapy. As an essential unmet need, there is no diagnostic test for the early prediction and monitoring of success of SIT. We propose to develop a of point-of-care diagnostic assay based on evanescence biosensor technology for rapid analyses of the effects of SIT. This diagnostic test will provide the biomarkers to predict whether the therapy is likely to be successful within a few minutes.
