Solar-driven Gas Turbine
Abstract
(German)
This project is aimed at the engineering development of the solar receiver technology for heating compressed air to the entrance conditions of a gas turbine, at a design-point operation pressure in the range 5 ¿ 30 bars|and a solar receiver outlet temperature in the range 800 ¿ 1200 °C. The receiver development work involves the design, fabrication, testing, modeling, and validation of a 30 kW modular solar receiver prototype. System integration of an array of modular solar receivers with fossil-fuel hybridization and high-temperature thermal|storage will be analyzed for 24/7 power dispatchability.
