SpaceCoder is a versatile sensor technology for high-precision, 6-dimensional (6D) position measurement, with a great potential to become a technological breakthrough in automotive environment. The non-contact and robust sensor concept provides angular, linear, from 2D to 6D spatial absolute position in electrical motors, turbines, compressors, energy recovery systems, traction motors, large stroke mechatronic devices, just to mention a few. The generic sensor concept is best suited to high-volume production with great technologic and cost advantages. The purpose of the project is to bring this innovative technology to the market as soon as possible in as many value-added applications as possible, to guarantee reliability, increase safety, decrease consumption and improve ecological impact.
