Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
The main aim of this project is to identify candidate materials for lens forming tools which can be machined to a fine tolerance using fly-cut diamond turning, and which can maintain their fine dimensional tolerance for operating lifetimes of >1,000 operating cycles. The proposed research will enable FISBA to exploit the commercial and technological potentials of using low transition temperature glasses as part of their future process development strategy, and the goal is to implement the outcome within 6 months of the end of the project.
