Ferring Pharmaceuticals is a leader in the fields of reproductive health and endocrinology. It is now aiming to develop an innovative transdermal dosage form for testosterone replacement therapy in women; this is projected to become a multi-billion dollar market. The capture of even a small fraction of this fast-growing sector would significantly impact the company¿s annual sales. This project combines the expertise of Ferring Pharmaceuticals in the field of hormonal gels to the skills of UNIGE in the field of topical and transdermal drug delivery technologies.
