Feasibility study to improve the transmission- and develop the backscattering-measurement of DWS RheoLab using Scatter3D
Abstract
(German)
The unique key product 'DWS RheoLab' of LSI, is based on measurements in transmission geometry and the well-known diffusion approximation. Induced by current market requirements, the next generation of RheoLab needs improving in several aspects. Empa developed the sophisticated light scattering simulator 'Scatter3D' which is able to reproduce arbitrary measurements. Based on Scatter3D-simulations, this feasibility study considers RheoLab's potential for improving its precision, increasing its application range and reducing its production cost.
