This project aims at designing and developping new electrochemical sensors for the selective detection of hydrophilic and hydrophobic antioxidant in biological samples for clinical applications. To date, Edel sells electrochemical sensors for water soluble anti-oxidants used in anti-aging and food sectors. To enter the clinical sector, selective sensors able to measure hydrophilic and hydrophobic antioxidants are required, as both species play a crucial role in the onset and complications of several diseases, including cardiovascular diseases.
