Development of new research tools and reagents in the TNF family.

Abstract (English)

This project is aiming at developing and marketing new and as yet unavailable high quality reagents for the study of TNF family members CD40L and BAFF/BLyS, two ligands crucially involved in immunity. This includes a recombinant form of CD40L highly active on both human and murine cells, blocking anti-mouse BAFF monoclonal antibodies, a recombinant 60-meric form of human BAFF highly active on both human and mouse cells, and antibodies for histochemical detection of mouse BAFF. Tools to simplify the monitoring of reagent¿s activity internally will also be developed.
