MyDementiaCare - Medical Technologies for the Personalized Care and Management of Dementia

Abstract (German)

The intended project is aimed at the development of web-based and mobile care technologies that can monitor health and deliver care solutions in real-time. The technology platform, IAMCare, provides a personalized approach to dementia care that integrates information and communication tools, with systems to monitor and track cognitive, emotional and physical function and the occurrence of problem behaviors, as well as, the ability present data so that individuals are engaged and empowered in their own healthcare with reduced burden for caregivers (see IAMCare Flyer in Business Plan). Through close collaborations with world-leading specialist dementia clinic (UZH), gerontologists (UZH) and technology (HSR) partners, our technologies are firmly founded on decades of research, technical innovation and clinical experience. The social engagement and mobile technology extends professional-quality care solutions to under-supported caregivers in the home environment, equipping them with knowledge and recommendations that were previously available only in specialist care settings.
