Development of a PHA- and Magnesium alloy-based bioabsorbable Drug-Eluting Stent for the treatment of artery diseases (PHAMDES)
Abstract
(German)
The project aims to develop a bioabsorbable stent made of a metallic core and a polymer coating loaded with drug for the treatment of artery diseases. The stent will be based on a unique magnesium alloy and a mcl-PHA coating for which degradation time and drug kinetics can be controlled. The stent design will be developed using Finite Element Analysis technique.
