SECHERON SA and HEPIA aim to develop a modern tool using Computational Fluid Dynamics for better|understanding and prediction of the movement of the electric arc in an enclosed circuit breaker. Focus will be placed on|the interaction, during short circuit interruption, of the arc with air pressure waves generated, propagated, and reflected|inside of the enclosure.|Guidelines for optimizing existing and dimensioning new enclosures are foreseen.|The development of a new enclosure is expected.
