Wireless signal transmission applied at marine engines will lead to advanced monitoring and controlling possibilities. The innovative goal is the examination of movable parts and inaccessible locations. As a consequence, a precise control of engine parameters will lead to improved reliability and performances in terms of efficiency and emissions. In this project, the feasibility of wireless signal transmission to the engine control system will be investigated, considering the applicability under harsh marine environmental conditions.
