The results shall be structured after the following 3 aspects, which are especially relevant with road data management. These aspects, as well as their combinations, must be considered at business level, as well as conceptual level.
- Business aspects of the object-information types (conceptual classes)
- "linear space", including its localization in the planar national coordinate system
- "Tritemporal" time related aspects, made of business validity, knowledge date and recording time also sometimes with auxiliary use of the time of the last valid state. The effects of the model simplifications are to be demonstrated on a cost/use basis.
The feasibility of the concepts must be practically demonstrated with an executable prototype. The prototype should include all basic IT-Functionalities (Scripts, procedures, data structures,...) required for the implementation of the concepts. In the case where alternatives are mentioned, an performance analysis is required. In the case where dependencies to prototypes of other projects are noticed, these issues shall be adressed in close coordination.
The References of this project to the other projects in the research package are very intense, especially towards:
- VSS 2011/711 "Temporal aspect and historization" with regard to the processing of informations in different points in time
- VSS 2011/713 "Transformation concepts" with regard to processing information from different geographical reference systems
- VSS 2011/714 "Maintaining semantics in transformations" with regard to the correct functional processing of informations and attributes
