Platforms for Agricultural Research for Development
An improved participation of all agricultural stakeholders in research, innovation and development discussions is crucial for finding solutions to feed the 9 billion people in 2050. Therefore, two networks are supported to facilitate exchange of information and experience among agricultural stakeholders. One network addresses the youth in agricultural development worldwide with already 7200 members, and the other one Swiss actors in agricultural research for development.

| Contexte |
Agriculture remains an important sector for (economic) development and continues to be labor demanding. Youth make up 30% of the population and employment and economic prospects remain a serious challenge. However, there is a declining interest of young professionals to engage in the agricultural sector and thus the risk of lacking capacities in the near future for finding innovative and sustainable solutions in agricultural development increases.
