Short description
(English)
The overall goal of the "Culture and Religion in Mediation" (CARIM) program is to further develop the capability to transform conflicts with religious and cultural dimensions resp. to support mediation and conflict transformation processes that deal with religious and cultural dimensions of conflicts. The underlying strategy is to combine state of the art mediation with constructivist models of religion, which allows for working with religiously inspired political actors in a non-judgmental manner. In this way, processes can be facilitated that support mutually acceptable outcomes and co-existence between actors from different religious "worlds" or cultural constructions of reality.
