High-Throughput Microsystems for Automated Aliquoting of Small Liquid Volumes for Analytical Applications (HIMALAYA)
Abstract
(German)
This project aims at designing and fabricating a system with a high density array of sample recipient sites, and applying it in a variety of fields that need high-throughput sample aliquoting into many (hundreds to thousands) of small liquid volumes, including but not limited to MALDI mass spectrometry, emulsion PCR, singularization of cells for various analytical applications, microcrystallization of proteins etc. We propose to develop this technology from an existing prototype into a marketable product.
