Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Français)
The objective of this project is to develop a structured surface that improves the tribological performance of toggle lever-based platen presses for the packaging industry. To achieve this goal a breakthrough is needed in terms of process technology to replace an expensive hand scrapping process, to lower the wear rate, and to suppress or reduce drastically the running-in time. This objective will be achieved by applying state-of-the-art laser surface texturing processing in a five-step methodology. This work is supported by fundamental and technological investigations of high load, low speed tribosystems, to create and proof novel solutions. The current market position of the company will thus be consolidated and market segments in the field of platen press equipments will possibly open up.
