ASCOD: Application Specific Coprocessor for OFDM Demodulation
Abstract
(Englisch)
The project aims to develop an application-specific coprocessor for the demodulation of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) used in digital video broadcasting (DVB-C2 and DVB-T2 standards). The coprocessor will complement the icyflex4 DSP architecture for operations whose throughput and power consumption are sub-optimal when coded on a general purpose processor. Such operations include the generation of pseudo random bit sequences as well sine/cosine calculation.
