Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Anglais)
Because of its toxicity on humans and the environment, the use of lead and other heavy metals in household and industrial applications is being gradually reduced. In anticipation of a future regulatory ban on lead utilisation in antifriction bronzes this project will evaluate and develop materials and fabrication methods for the replacement of lead with other solid lubricants. We target highly demanding applications in which well bonded bronze-steel bimetal parts are needed.
