EIGER 16M demonstrator: Development and benchmark implementation of an advanced X-ray detector for macromolecular crystallography
Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
The next generation X-ray area detector optimized for macromolecular crystallography shall be developed in this joint project. The envisioned development process is based on scaling the PSI-developed EIGER single photon detection scheme up to a large area detector. The complete chain from microelectronics over mechanics, cooling, calibration, control software, IT infrastructure and testing will be addressed in this project. The final implementation under realistic conditions and demonstration of performance and data quality will ensure a continuation of the world-leading position of DECTRIS in the market of hybrid pixel X-ray detectors.
