Abstract (Englisch)	Application of drugs to the mucosa of the upper airways is a frequent medical need. The goal of this project is to develop a new bifunctional device actuator for combined nasal and buccal drug administration. The new device will have additional benefits such as easy handling, pervasive drug distribution and better patient compliance. This device offers Bioforce AG significant production cost reductions and enhanced marketing opportunities as well as product life cycle extensions. Overall, an additional sales volume of CHF 2.6 Mio per year after product launch is expected.
