Abstract (Englisch)

Contexa SA¿s sector of activity is the Flavour and Fragrance industry. Contexa has been engineering, producing and selling since more than 10 years machines that dose liquids from a few mg up to 5 kg per raw material. This is done with a 1% accuracy. Contexa SA¿s competitors use scales to weigh the raw materials entering into a formula one after the other. Contexa doses them in a parallel mode with a volumetric solution based on a system of 60 to 200 syringes actuated simultaneously. The time gain in the production process (times ten compared to the competition) makes the difference for Contexa¿s customers. This request for subsidy aims at allowing Contexa to propose to its current customers a solution that addresses the dosing of the heated and cold products: these are currently handled manually. Two customers have already shown their interest for this product by signing letters of intent for the product for which the subsidy is solicited. (See joined letters). Moreover this solution will, in the long term, allow the dosing of all raw materials of a formula in a beaker without using a weighing scale any more. The consequence for the customer is a gain of time and a reduction of the manipulation errors.
