Development of an online production monitoring tool based on Diffusing Wave Spectroscopy that allows continuous measuring of microrheological properties in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Abstract
(Deutsch)
Adequate process analytics is today very important for process development and production of any chemical product. However, there are unmet needs with respect to online monitoring of changes in the microstructure of liquids. Microrheological properties would have to be analysed much faster than with mechanical rheometers and a non-contacting mode is preferable. Herein, Diffusing Wave Spectroscopy (DWS) provides an attractive problem solution. This project aims to develop a DWS-prototype for monitoring of pharmaceutical manufacturing on different batch scales.
