Résumé des résultats (Abstract) (Anglais)	Electromagnetic manipulation is a promising technology for guiding wireless medical instruments. This project aims at developing the means to extend the technology from its current application in ophthalmology to other medical applications. Technical issues to be resolved include power and cooling requirements when scaling up the operating volume of the electromagnets, integration of imaging and localization technology and instrument stabilization in fluids. At the end of the project there will be a new prototype catheter steering system for cardiology designed, built and installed for clinical trials.
