Abstract (Deutsch)	The latest generation of industrial diesel engines are required to operate with high performance and reliability, in a flexible way, and typically under extremely arduous working conditions. The project is proposed to improve the thermal fatigue resistance of new-generation diesel engine cylinder heads through the adoption of new cast iron variant(s) and optimised engineering design. Immediate implementation of this approach is expected to provide essential competitive advantages to Iveco, due to an increased market demand for the new-generation products.
