ZigCell3D: An Interactive Simulation and Visualization Tool for Intracellular Signaling Dynamics

We will create a paradigm shift for experimental biologists by making computational methods accessible to them through the use of interactive simulations and 3D graphics. It has the potential to bridge the longstanding divide between the worlds of experimental biologists and computational biologists or modelers, as the visual environment will create for them a common language. Abstract charts, tables and equations that modelers are used to encapsulate a process will be laid open and usable to a wider community. The common language will also serve as the basis to improve computational models through the feedback from experimentalists, thus advancing pharmaceutical research in a completely new way.
