The project targets the development of a novel optical spectrometer based on two femtosecond lasers (socalled dual-comb spectrometer). The expected performances will massively outperform the technologies available today in terms of measurement speed and resolution for transmission spectroscopy of gas and liquid samples. The project also plans to investigate the suitability of this approach to measure solid samples in reflection mode.
