High-throughput screening technology to identify biologics, ligands and ligand-induced interaction partners of G protein-coupled receptors

Abstract (Englisch)

In this follow-up project we will bring our newly developed high-throughput screening to identify ligand-induced interaction partners of G protein-coupled receptors to market. Therefore we will screen for interaction partners that are recruited to different classes of GPCRs upon ligand binding. Moreover, using the same technology, we will screen for novel ligands of (orphan) GPCRs. The technology enables the identification of pharmacological dugs which interfere with the recruitment of signalling molecules to engaged GPCRs. The screening system will be commercialized as a fee-for-service operation for industrial and academic customers.
