Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
We have recently developed a novel method to reproducibly synthesize stainless steel by electrochemical deposition, which has never been realized before. As the novel process has attracted a lot of interest in the nano/microdevices industry for many applications, the objective of this project is to characterize in detail the mechanical properties, the chemical composition and the corrosion properties of the stainless steel deposits. For the EMPA spin-off company Eleoss GmbH, currently in the CTI Start-up Coaching Process, this project is an essential step to prove the feasibility stainless steel micro-components by electrodeposition and therefore a prerequisite for further development projects and for a successful commercial application of stainless steel electrodeposition process.
