Human Energy Harvesting from the Beating Heart by a Mass-Imbalance Oscillation Generator
Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
Power supply is a major limitation in today¿s medical implants. Harvesting energy from the human body would allow to further miniaturise these devices and to prolong their life cycle. The goal of this feasibility study is to optimize the Mass-Imbalance Oscillation Generator - as it is well known from the watch industry - with respect to size and conversion efficiency to harvest energy from moving organs. The future field of application of this optimized generator comprises biomedical implants such as pacemakers or recorders of biosignals.
