Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Anglais)
Blueshift is developing the first ¿intelligent UV filters¿: chemicals for cosmetics that change their sun protection factor (SPF) to match daily variations in sun intensity. Blueshift¿s sun responsive UV filters offer intelligent sun protection and help to reduce skin cancer and skin aging associated with sun exposure. The scientific goal of the present project is to identify suitable polymers for use as microcapsule shells in our UV filter beads, and to integrate new and effective photo-responsive units into the system. We will test SPF jump performance and check the compositions for skin compatibility. The commercial goal of the project is to design photo-responsive UV filter beads that meet the specifications required by cosmetics manufacturers.
