SMELOB - single-mode electrical-optical circuit boards
Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
The objective of the project is to develop and set-up a technology platform for single-mode polymer optical waveguides integrated into printed circuit boards. UV curable polymer waveguides will be optimized and assessed in terms of low propagation loss, manufacturability and reliability. Interconnection between these board waveguides and optical fibers will be developed. A fiber coupled board with integrated coarse wavelength division multiplexing will be fabricated as a technology demonstrator. The work will include modeling, fabrication, and characterization of waveguides, devices, and connectivity solutions. This project will strengthen the competitiveness of the partners in the field of electrical-optical circuit boards including connectivity and will allow them to achieve a leading position worldwide.
